10 years Boutique Belgique

As our 10 year jubilee comes closer I want to write down some thoughts about Boutique Belgique and what it means to me / us. In 2010 Leonard and I had this idea of opening up another store to fulfill lots of personal & common dreams. Seeing this project come to life, working on the Logo, the colors, the concept, the interior, all brought us closer than anything else. Working on a joint dream no matter if it’s going to work out or not, made us fall in love with each other so deeply.

We got to know each others strengths and weaknesses and not only did we become partners but our relationship matured so much around this project. Everything we did was out of passion, success and money were never our motivations. There were lots of doubts from the outside about our dream but we stuck to it and never let negativity enter the world we created.

A few weeks after the opening, I was able to pay back my debts. After the first magazine articles about our store (no social media back then) everything went super fast. The years 2010-2015 were like a rush
hour – the store gained a reputation we never dreamt of, we launched my Blog, opened up more stores and my agency & released a book… What sounds like a fairy tale really is our personal dream: Within the 10 successful years of Boutique Belgique we never for one second grew tired of the job.
